Its Shoesday!

Yeah you're right, its actually pancake day, but its also Tuesday and that means SHOES! duh.

I have found the most beautiful shoes to grace those wonderful feet of yours. Right now the weather is really hard to dress for and you don't just want to be stuck with boring black ankle boots for the rest of the season. See below for my hand picked selection.

ASOS Myth Flat Shoe, £30

Aldo Kailang, £60

MissGuided, Barely There Sandles, £30

Russell & Bromley, Network £255

Topshop, Nadia £36

Russell & Bromley, Casablanca £175

Ugg, Patsy, £160

My ultimate favourites have to be the Casablanca's by Russell and Bromley, they look ultra comfy and so cute looking!

Cupids Arrow Cards

Get creative this Valentine’s Day by making your own cute cupid cards.

List of things you will need:
Brown envelopes
Coloured card of your choice
Straws
Metallic pens
Scissors
Glue

Firstly decided on a colour theme that works, something a little clashy and within the theme of valentines (aka: pink or red heart) works really well.

Step 1 – start by creating the heart shape. You can use a stencil, download a template of a heart from the internet and draw around that. I printed a heart shape (just by using google images) and placing it onto a thick piece of card. This makes it so much easier to draw around and get a really symmetrical shape like a stencil. You need 2 heart pieces for every 1 cupid card you make. My cards are in bits of A5, after folding them a few times you are able to get x4 the amount of shapes from one bit of card.

Step 2 - Cut the straws into pieces about 8-10cms long.

Step 3 - Make the tail by using an arrow like template. (to make this easier you could just use a triangle shaped tail) I did the same with step 1 as I have done for step 3, make sure you cut out 2 pieces for the arrow's.

Step 4- Then with your metallic pens draw faces on the heart or write a cute message! Be as creative and wild as you like.

Step 5 – glue all pieces together, then voila! A cute cupid card.

Make sure you pop them in the post in time for your valentine on the 14th feb! Enjoy guys I hope you get lots in return & send me pictures of your creations!

The Chesterfield Hotel - Mayfair

The Chesterfield hotel is a 4 star hotel situated in the heart of Mayfair. I was luckily enough able to stay in this hotel as a work perk! The lobby area is stunning with (what looks like) all original oak wood features, I particularly like hotels that have restored or have tried to restore as much as they can of the original building and decorative features as much as possible.

I was greeted when I walked through the doors of the hotel room with a hand written note from the hotel manager, which I thought was a lovely personal touch. The room I was given was a superior King room, it was just the right size, had an amazingly huge bed, heated floors in the bathroom & all the amenities I could require!

The bed even had my initials on the sheets! 😏

We were just starting to unwind and unpack our things when one of the hotel staff knocked on our door and greeted us with oranges from their very own garden. The touches this hotel has are amazing, are the staff go above and beyond to accommodate your needs. Each floor has a different decorative theme on the floor and the hotel isn't huge which is nice. We decided to take a stroll to the bar (which is one of my favourite parts of the hotel) in which you can have afternoon tea, a gin tasting experience (which is also amazing!) and various cocktails and platters. I chose the honeypot cocktail which had all of my favourite things in it such as limoncello and vodka. Topped with honey of course! Fell in love with how much effort they made to present this cocktail with an edible bee attached!

In terms of location this hotel is really great for that. And is definitely what does it for me! When staying at this hotel you are directly next to Berkley Square. Which has amazing resturants surrounding it. Such as sexy fish, number 34, novikov and nobu just around the corner. Hyde Park is on the other side of the hotel which is great if you are visiting an attraction in the park or just needing to be in the westend in general. The hotel is inbetween 2 great tube stations. Bond Street & Green Park, that give you great links everywhere.

Breakfast in this hotel is amazing and service is great, in fact I have eaten here a few times for lunch and dinner too. Their menu changes throughout the seasons, my personal favourite is the steak.

As far as staying in a hotel goes this is by far one of my favourite in the west end. & I would definitely recommend this hotel.
